But that was before the opening of Stab the new movie account of the horrific slayings at Woodsboro based on the best-selling book written by tough-talking reporter Gail Weathers (Courtney Cox-Arquette). Now a copycat killer is on the rampage and wants Sidney dead again!

SCREAM 3: Sidney Prescott has literally disappeared off the face of the earth- hiding from the world and the whole haunted, blood-stained legacy that is Woodsboro. But that is all about to change. A new slasher flick based on Sidneys horrific story is being shot in L.A. called Stab 3... And one by one, the cast of Stab 3 are taking their final curtain call. Someone is mimicking the horrific murders of the first two Scream films.....only this time, even the leads are dying. So the real Gale Weathers, Dewey Riley and Sidney Prescott must step into the spotlight to flush the killer(s) out. And that means going back to Woodsboro one last terrifying time.

SCREAM 4: Sidney Prescott now the author of a self-help book returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale who are now married as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface putting Sidney Gale and Dewey along with Jill her friends and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
